How Do You Identify Where AI Can Create the Most Value?

As AI becomes embedded across roles, functions, products, and services, governance needs to extend beyond individual AI use cases. ITIL® AI Governance (Version 5) helps connect AI adoption with established governance practices, giving organizations a way to move from broad principles to practical consistent application.

What Does It Take To Build a Foundation for Responsible AI Governance?

This three-day course provides a practical framework for responsible AI governance, covering the principles, capabilities, requirements, oversight, and accountability needed to govern AI effectively. Participants will learn how to apply responsible AI governance in practice, evaluate governance requirements, and use the ITIL AI Capability Model to establish an approach suited to their organization.

Create A Strategy for Scalable AI Governance Across the Organization

Rather than treating AI governance as a fixed set of controls, our ITIL-certified instructors help you consider a more holistic perspective when determining what governance is needed and where capabilities need to mature, so you can leave with a framework for applying governance in practice and evaluating its effectiveness, focusing on: the organization, the AI capability, its intended use, its benefits, and its risks.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Understand and apply AI principles for oversight, accountability, transparency, ethics, and safeguards.

Apply AI governance concepts to realistic organizational scenarios and workplace decisions.

Use the ITIL model to identify governance requirements and tailor risk profiles, controls, and oversight to different AI applications.

Assess how organizational context, AI capabilities, intended use, benefits, and risks influence governance requirements.

Recognize the importance of clear roles, responsibilities, decision authority, human oversight, and accountability.

Assess AI governance capabilities and identify opportunities for improvement.

Evaluate AI governance effectiveness and support continuous improvement as AI adoption evolves.
